The primary source of vital energy available to us is the food we consume daily. This food represents the energy of the heavens and the earth in a condensed form, transformed within our bodies into blood, lymph, and other fluids. These, in turn, nourish the various organs and functions of the body, directly transmuting into body, mind, and spirit. Thus, food plays a fundamental role in creating our daily health and happiness.
In addition to influencing health and vitality, food also determines the quality of our consciousness, nurturing the mind and spirit. Waves of diverse vibrations from the universe and the planet are channeled through the brain and nervous system. The quality and quantity of these waves directly depend on the energetic charge of our cells and energy receptor channels. When we predominantly consume whole grains and cooked vegetables, we enhance our ability to capture a broad spectrum of vibrations. This allows us to develop a wider consciousness, capable of addressing both the practical aspects of existence and the subtler facets of the cosmos.
However, foods at extreme ends of yin or yang disrupt this harmony, reducing our ability to capture vibrations and leading to a fragmented and chaotic interpretation of the information received.
Whole grains, in particular, play a unique role in our development. The vertical growth of the grain symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth, contributing to the upright posture of humans and the development of intellect. Rooted firmly in the soil, the grain absorbs the ascending energy of the earth, while its long filaments, akin to antennas, capture the energy of the heavens. This balance is reflected in the strengthening of the body, flexibility, and resilience to face life's challenges.
Among whole grains, brown rice stands out. In addition to nourishing all organs, it has been traditionally used to cultivate spirituality and feelings of unity with others. This food provides stable energy, promotes a calm mind, and strengthens good judgment, making it essential for daily life and a more balanced existence.
